The most overlooked yet obvious cause of Central Sleep Apnea is Trauma. Trauma can be cleared. This website is about Central Sleep Apnea and how to get help to stop it in 5-8 sessions over about 10 weeks. By clearing lingering effects of traumatizing events, you can get beyond the fear and frustration that comes with an "incurable" diagnosis and being tethered to a CPAP (or other standard treatment). |
A quick introduction: Apnea means "without breath". There are three types of apnea:
1. Obstructive apnea is the type that most people think of. It is caused by a blockage in the airway from physical problems, and has long been considered to be the ONLY type of apnea. The stereotype for this is a middle-aged, overweight male, but this is VERY outdated.
2. Central Nervous System Sleep Apnea can be caused by memories of traumas that interrupt sleep. The brain fails to signal the body to breathe. Why? What traumas have you had since you were in utero? Your body remembers all of them. Some sleep labs are finding Central Apnea, but have no idea what is causing it, so they give people the same (incurable) diagnosis and treatment as if they had OSA. Many people have a combination of OSA and CSA. CSA can be entirely stopped, and sometimes the cause of OSA can also be either stopped or reduced. Find out in a 45-minute consultation.
3. There is a third which is a combination of OSA and CSA. Research shows the CPAP or BiPap treatment devices often cause PTSD which, in turn, causes CSA. Find out SO MUCH MORE by reading further here, and talking with Dr. Damaris Drewry in a consultation.

Is This You?
1. You aren't significantly overweight, but you've been diagnosed with Obstructive Apnea?
2. Not sure which type of Apnea you actually do have?
3. Do you gasp for breath in your sleep, or alarm your partner when you quit breathing?
4. Nightmares?
5. Bathroom trips?
6. Do you have a sense of loss of control over your own life?
7. Are you struggling with a CPAP or BiPAP but you are afraid not to wear it?
Are you not entirely sure which type of apnea you have? Sleep labs often do not tell you anything about causes of central apnea. The information they do have is long outdated. And sleep professionals, as of 2022, DO NOT KNOW that lingering effects of trauma (PTSD) cause Central Nervous System Sleep Apnea for millions of people.
If you are tethered to a machine, wouldn't it be great to get rid of it? They are expensive to maintain and cause sinus, stomach and other uncomfortable problems. Get the facts you need to feel like you are in control of your life again. Read on...

MY MISSION: I am passionate about teaching people with sleep apnea how to calm down, learn the facts, and advocate for themselves. I believe that people who are frightened into using a CPAP, BiPap, jaw device, or surgery, feel more anxiety and experience more apnea, especially Central Apnea. They are afraid to go to sleep, and afraid not to. This changes here. Read on! Knowledge is power.
WHY SHOULD YOU TRUST ME? I have successfully worked with hundreds of people to stop their Central Apnea by resolving lingering effects of traumatizing events that actually cause the apnea (unconsciously holding breath during sleep). I've been a trauma resolution specialist for 30 years. I'm an out-of-the-box thinker, and I go the distance for my clients. Rather than diagnosing or treating medical or DSM issues, I teach people how to recognize and stop traumatic memories that run in their sleep. I'm Damaris Drewry, Ph.D. Psychology, and I discovered the connection between post traumatic memories and central sleep apnea in 2008. READ MORE... Since then I've developed a protocol that includes helping my clients identify and clear more than 50 types of events that cause central apnea. Over the years I have also learned to identify the possibility of hormonal and digestive issues that contribute to CSA and OSA. I have a wealth of information to offer. EFT-TAPPING for SLEEP APNEA: I have used EFT (also known as Tapping) with great success, for every issue with every client since 2001. It works extremely well for clearing the traumas that cause Central Sleep Apnea. To learn more See Research page. I also work with many other physical issues that have emotional roots. A MUST-WATCH video Testimonial:
Phil, a retired racehorse jockey, almost died from using a CPAP and BiPap. After clearing his traumas from flying over the heads of horses and breaking his back twice, his Central Sleep Apnea was entirely gone. The snoring was gone. He is still central sleep apnea-free 2 years later. Phil is 79 years old and going strong. Watch the testimonial from Phil and his wife.
